I usually love what you might call "trendy tourist traps," but I will not eat at a place that only accepts cash because I do not carry cash!
Posted by DeAnn at August 20, 2004 01:09 AMSee, there you go. They are simply user un-friendly, just because nobody else downtown makes sandwhiches. They also try to heavily market their wraps, but like 3 other places downtown including a street vendor make wraps.
Posted by Jesse Thompson at August 20, 2004 11:25 AMHans has WONDERFUL sandwhiches
Posted by Jon's wife at August 20, 2004 01:00 PMAh, but not in the evening hours for Jess, then I'm sure it's only dinner fare at Hans. Thanks for the deli warning, my friend. And welcome back to 2-hour downtown parking heck too eh? Good luck wid dat;-)
Posted by Barney at August 20, 2004 08:32 PMYep, it is us Vs the parking nazis :P
Posted by Jesse Thompson at August 21, 2004 12:54 AMWell, I happen to be friends with a few of the "Parking Nazis" as you phrase it. But I could let you in on a few secret places to park that they don't ticket for. :)
Posted by Jim Lucas at August 23, 2004 11:00 AMThat might be interesting.. but the information would probably also be ephemeral (18 months later, boom, they start ticketing the place) and in high demand (30 people learn the secret and the spaces get fought over with maces and clubs)
Also, understand that I am denouncing the company when I say "parking nazis". The employees are just doing their job, so I don't look down on them much more than I look down on contract hitmen. (and no, I haven't seen 'collateral' yet ;)
