Frontpage is BAD (edit)

(Ed note: Yeah I threw the wrong url into that link, have another go)

I was chatting with my pal Gent yesterday and he tried to show me his website. "Tried" was the word because none of the url's he gave me were valid or even well formed. I eventually found the blasted thing with the help of Google, and I have to say: it is a shining example of how not to use Front Page.

Before you all get too grossed out, a little bit of close inspection will reveal that someone made the page look that way on porpose. :) Try mousing over the links on the left side for instance. Next, browse around and let the parody of pseudo-corperate web presence ooze into every pore. Finally, $5 to the first person who can comment in this thread and tell me who actually made that site. Hint: no not me :)

Oh god that's an ugly site, and it'd have to be a parody, as there's nothing that could be THAT bad.

According to the whois, it's a Matt Chapman that owns the domain, but I don't know if he created it. There's a Gent Delabor name on there, but I'm assuming that name is false. The site's linked in a pile of places, according to google. I'm sure I don't get the $5 though, as there's probably more to it.

Please, I've seen worse sites and actually some are for business' in this town.

Well, I will have to say that it is pretty bad!

I find a few reference on the intern page and I quote:
this site is made by a genius i am in awe

-PuckHead0
And it was replied to by a Gent Delabor, Sr. and he said:
PuckHead0 is right and wrong. I AM a genius, however, he is NOT in Awe, Miss...
So, I think that answers the question???

Later,

Jim

Oh, but wait. Did you want the REAL person that built this site?

I have not clue.

Matt Chapman, co-creator of Homestar Runner.

Oh, and it was created through a game called Fortune Cookies.

Posted by: Mike at July 29, 2004 06:26 PM

dingdingding we have a winner :)
Though I wouldn't say it was exactly "Made Through" fortune cookies, it was linked to from homestarrunner via Fortune Cookies though.

Did you only find that out since they changed the games menu this morning by chance? :]
